The development of an effective artistic process will be encouraged. Emphasis will be on visualization; seeing and painting visual relationships and understanding painting as a means of constructing an image.

Composition will be studied not simply as design principles, rather as a means of conveying a sense of space, light and movement. Topics such as, when to stop painting, how to appropriately sign, photograph and frame a painting will be covered.

    SUBJECTS

Students will work on the following subjects and the instructor will give a short demonstration at the beginning of each subject section
